What does a quick screen check?
It searches the entered name against the OpenSanctions multi-source collection and the US
Consolidated Screening List. Results are potential candidates that require verification.
Does Sightline verify overseas ownership?
No. Sightline does not currently query foreign company registries or verify foreign beneficial
ownership. Deep dossiers can expand NZBN-linked directors and shareholders for New Zealand companies.
What does the confidence score mean?
It estimates how closely a candidate record matches the name you screened. It is not a score of
the counterparty and does not tell you whether to proceed.
What is in a deep dossier?
A deep dossier adds open-web adverse-media research on the primary subject and a downloadable
evidence-led PDF memo. For New Zealand companies, it can also add one-hop NZBN-linked directors
and shareholders.
How often are monitored counterparties checked?
Monitored names are checked against tracked lists at least weekly and may be checked sooner when
a source version changes. New Zealand companies also receive weekly registry-change checks.
Is Sightline legal advice?
No. Sightline is a research aid. Potential matches and other findings require verification, and
the decision remains yours.
How is screening data handled?
Sightline isolates each organisation's data, encrypts connections in transit and records
account activity in an append-only audit trail. Read the security overview
for the current controls and service providers.
